Hoyt Bow Qualities and Advantages

Hunters and competition shooters alike shoot Hoyt bows exclusively. Hoyt bows are one of the best on the market and their history proves it. Competitors shooting Hoyt bows have won more tournaments than any other make of bow. Pick one up and shoot it and you will realize why.

One of the main technologies Hoyt uses is split limb technology. The split limbs are lighter, quieter, and produce less vibration. Being lighter makes it easier to lug through the woods to your favorite hunting spot, or down the tournament trail. The split limbs are also much more durable than the solid limb technology other bow manufacturers use.

More on the durability of split limbs, controlled tests show that solid limbs start to fail around 25 dry fires. They start to crack where the V-groove is where the cam is mounted. Cracks are also found at where the limb mounts to the riser.

By removing the weaknesses of solid limbs a split limb system will last to around 1000 dry fires. This is proven by controlled lab tests. By removing the need for a V-groove to mount the cam, a weak point is eliminated. Keep in mind you should never test on your own bow. You wouldn't want to hurt your bow, or worse yet, yourself.

When shooting repeatedly vibration can reduce shooter comfort. Hoyt employs some vibration reducing technologies that go a long way to ensure shooter comfort. Hoyt's TEC design decreases low-frequency vibration and Hoyt's Riser Shox reduces ringing vibration in the bow.

Hoyt offers many different models to suit anyones needs. If you shoot compound bows, you can choose the ultra fast, ultra light new for 2009 AlphaMax. There are 20 compound bows to choose from, even a youth bow! If you cant find a Hoyt compound bow that fits you, you shouldn't be shooting a bow at all!

If shooting recurve bows are more your thing, you can choose from two Hoyt hunting recurves. There are also 5 different competition recurve models with many different limbs to choose from.

If you want to shoot to your full potential then it would be wise of you to try a Hoyt today. You will see and feel the quality as soon as you put the bow in your hand.
